In Galleries
In some galleries and exhibitions one is able, legitimately, to take photographs of both the gallery and its contents; where there is a restriction on photography it is usually prominently displayed. Galleries often have their own intrinsic visual quality and photographs that reflect this aspect are included here.
Some, I have taken the liberty of manipulating the photographs to alter the view as in The Best of the Best by Yonamine at the 2007 Venice Biennale where I have shown a two sided display as one-sided. This is because, as a photograph, it is an image that I have constructed from that which was available. In Caged books in the Sandberg Hall, Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam. I have joined numerous photographs of bookshelves in a long line in a similar manner.
