I am not keen on graffiti and dislike tags but I find many of the stenciled images found on walls to be attractive and appealing. One the first that I photographed with a view to making a series was in Posnan, on a shop wall, in the old city centre square.
Since then, I have added to the other wall based subjects to the series such as distressed hoardings and posters in their found condition as ready-made affiches lacérées (torn posters—with reference to the Affichistes Raymond Hains and Jacques Villeglé) and official and semi official notices.
